General FAQs

Custom metal fabrication is the process of using various sized sheets of metal, angle iron, tubing and piping to create a finished product. As custom work, it provides for a very specific end function. This type of metal work can create non-standard components and metal products. This allows for the creation of built-to-order parts.

The sheet metal fabrication process is a complex method of transforming raw sheets of metal into various components. To do this, we use a variety of tools to bend, cut, shrink, and otherwise transform the metal into the proper shape.

Fabricated metal product manufacturing involves forging, stamping, bending, forming, welding, and assembling sheet metal to transform products into components or end products. This subsector of the manufacturing industry also involves the various treatments for metal products- like sandblasting, and powder coating.

Fabrication is the process that combines prefabricated parts using one or more methods to form a final product. These methods may include cutting, stamping, welding, or punching. Manufacturing, o the other hand, is the process of converting raw material into a finished product. In simpler terms, manufacturing is the production of something from start to finish using raw materials. In contrast, fabrication is the process of putting parts together in various ways to achieve the desired product.

We always follow all customer requirements for steel welding and fabrication at our location. We ensure you always receive the very best finished product possible. To do this, we follow all national standards possible or provide a higher quality of finished product to you. We ensure we meet all standards set forth by the American Welding Society (AWS).

There are many reasons to use skilled labor for your desired results. Keep in mind that fabrication of metals is applicable to virtually any industry. With our team, we can customize solutions by uniting technology & quality craftsmanship. This gives you far more ability to achieve your goals while also working to streamline the process of developing and manufacturing your product.

This might be one of the most important questions in the field. FPS works hard to hire fabricators, not just welders. Fabricators are the type of welders that can solve complex problems, look ahead to potential pitfalls, add grinding skills that make a perfectly welded part look fantastic with the finishing touches.

Fabricators can weld in multiple positions, make the difficult look easy and enjoy challenges and new jobs day-in and day-out.

We don’t just hire welders- we hire advanced fabricators.

First, find the part of the business that suits you best. Then, you’re in charge of your professional development: it’s your ideas, enthusiasm for learning and solution-oriented mindset that will open up a wealth of opportunities. You will be supported by regular check-ins throughout the year along with coaching, feedback and recognition.
