Custom sheet metal fabrication is used across a wide range of industries, from agriculture and industrial equipment to electrical enclosures, signage, and structural components. As experts in custom sheet metal fabrication, we can handle just about any project that requires cutting, forming, bending, and welding sheet metal into precise, repeatable parts and assemblies.
As a custom sheet metal fabrication company, we leverage advanced laser cutting and forming equipment, combined with in-house machining, welding, and finishing, to deliver complete parts and assemblies.
Our custom sheet metal fabrication capabilities include:
This combination of custom sheet metal fabrication expertise and production equipment lets us deliver accurate, repeatable components while staying cost-effective for both low and high volumes.
We synchronize our precision metal work with the highest quality of customer service, while using state-of-the-art technologies that provide customized metal fabrication solutions to fulfill our customer needs.
We are pleased to announce that we are a part of the Made in Missouri USA Program sponsored by the Missouri Association of Manufacturers and the Missouri Buy MO Program, sponsored by the Office of the Governor Mike Kehoe. Both Programs are designed to showcase and support all the incredible and unique products made by Missouri manufactures and business.

Custom sheet metal fabrication is the process of cutting, bending, and assembling sheet metal to create parts and assemblies built to your specifications. Our custom sheet metal fabrication capabilities use fiber laser cutting, CNC press brake forming, welding, and in-house finishing to deliver complete parts from one shop.
We fabricate brackets, enclosures, guards, panels, frames, and other custom sheet metal parts and assemblies. These parts are commonly used in agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, structural and architectural applications, electrical and utility systems, and consumer products.
Custom sheet metal fabrication at FPS typically covers mild or carbon steel, stainless steel (such as 304 and 316), and aluminum in common sheet and plate thicknesses. We can review other materials and thickness ranges on request. Metal thickness – 28 gauge up to 2.5 inches. Bending capability up to .5 inch. Ability to cut up to 2 inches on plasma and 1.5 inch on laser.
Yes. We do not require a high minimum order for custom sheet metal fabrication. One-off parts, short runs, and large production orders are all supported.
Preferred file types for custom sheet metal fabrication quotes are DXF, DWG, STP and PDF.
Typical custom sheet metal fabrication tolerances depend on material, thickness, and part geometry. As a general guideline, laser cut features can often be held within a tight range, and formed angles are controlled closely with CNC press brakes. We review your drawings and confirm achievable tolerances in your quote.
If you send drawings or models with material, thickness, quantity, and finish requirements, we can provide a custom sheet metal fabrication quote quickly and let you know if any additional information is needed.

Yes. Our custom sheet metal fabrication team provides design-for-manufacturability feedback. We can recommend adjustments to flanges, bend radii, hardware locations, and other features to improve fit, function, and cost. We can also create production drawings from your sketches or models when needed.
Yes. Custom sheet metal fabrication can include PEM hardware installation and final assembly. We can supply and install studs, nuts, standoffs, and other hardware, and we can deliver fully assembled components or kits.
Custom sheet metal fabrication at FPS can include in-house abrasive blasting and powder coating, providing a durable protective and cosmetic finish. If you require other finishes, we can review options and coordinate them as needed.
Yes. On request, custom sheet metal fabrication projects can include material test reports and weld certifications when specified on your purchase order or quality requirements.
Yes. We package custom sheet metal parts to protect edges and finishes, and we can label or kit components by project, assembly, or installation area to make your production or field work easier.
